Homemade Window Cleaner
Homemade window cleaning solutions often mix water and mild dishwashing soap. You can fill a 5-gallon bucket with warm water and add a teaspoon of Marvin Replacement approved mild dishwashing soap.
Marvin Replacement lists vinegar as an approved window cleaner. Use distilled white vinegar with 5% acidity. Vinegar contains acetic acid, which helps break down dirt, grease, and mineral deposits. The acid in vinegar makes it easier to remove those. A one-to-one mixture of distilled white vinegar and warm water works best for dirt buildup.
*Although overspray of these solutions is safe, never use a pressure washer directly on any part of a window or door.
